May 28

Theft: Overnight, 200 block of N Street Northeast. Somebody stole a cell phone, a disabled placard and undisclosed personal items worth undisclosed amounts from a vehicle.

Theft: Overnight, 2800 block of R Place Southeast. An Auburn resident reported the theft of an iPod and garage door opener from a vehicle. Police did not disclose a value for the missing items.

Theft: 12 p.m., 1200 block of 63rd Street Southeast. A female, no general age given, reported that a friend of a friend possibly might have stolen her wallet and cash.

May 29

Theft: 7:30 p.m., 1902 A St. SE. A woman reported that her teenage sister broke the door frame to her locked bedroom door, got in, snatched up her life savings in the amount of $4,000 and ran off with them.

Kentucky Fried burglary: 2:45 a.m., 1002 Auburn Way N. Somebody chucked a rock through the glass door at Kentucky Fried Chicken, got into the business but stole nothing.

Vandalism: 6:45 a.m., 3310 Auburn Way N. Somebody hurled a rock through the window of Heather’s Coffee Stop sometime overnight. The breakage did not trip the alarm and nothing appeared to be missing.

Burglary: 3 p.m., 308 W. Main St. Agrishop Lawn and Tractor reported that someone had broken into a business overnight and stolen undisclosed merchandise. Police did not disclose the value of the undisclosed merchandise.

Theft: 1:20 p.m., 5418 Auburn Way N. A man frequenting the Dream of China Spa above a Texaco service station discovered that while he had been undergoing his hour-long massage, somebody was stealing his 1993 Harley Davidson Softtail Springer.

May 30

Theft from motor vehicle: 5:52 p.m., 900 block of Auburn Way N. Somebody shattered a woman’s driver side window and stole undisclosed various items from her purse worth undisclosed amounts.

DUI: 7:40 a.m., 400 block of 15th Street Northeast. A man’s involvement in a hit-and-run accident encouraged police in their decision to arrest him for DUI.

Warrant arrest: 12:56 p.m., 1232 A St. NE. Police arrested a man for an Auburn warrant and shopping cart theft after they contacted him on a local business property where he had been sleeping in a tent, much to the owner’s distress.

May 31

Weapons offense: 12:24 a.m., 1400 23rd St. SE. Police investigating a man on a shoplifting beef arrested him for possessing a dangerous weapon, a throwing star knife, on his waistband.
