Auburn Police blotter | March 24

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between March 15 and 19:

March 15

Commercial burglary: Overnight, 550 3rd St. NW. In an attempt to steal items, would-be burglars damaged them.

March 16

Theft: 11:42 a.m., 9900 block of Southeast 304th Court. Somebody stole a rifle scope and mount from a man’s home.

Animal problem: 3:29 p.m., 1400 block of 22nd Street Southeast. An American pit bull Terrier mix its owner had allowed to wander loose on the streets was returned to its yard, and the owner was presented with a citation.

March 17

Burglary: Overnight, 113 49th St. NE. Burglars stole several items from a business under construction.

Pooch on the loose: 2:22 p.m., 501 Oravetz Road SE. An American bulldog mix was found wandering loose near Auburn Riverside High School.

March 18

Theft from motor vehicle: Overnight, 1500 block of F Street Southeast. Somebody got into a truck and swiped an iPad.

DUI: 12:10 a.m., 900 block of Auburn Way N. A man was seen nearly striking pedestrians who were crossing the 900 block of Auburn Way N legally, and police subsequently busted him for DUI during a traffic stop.

March 19

Trespassing: 2:57 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Reluctant to allow two suspicious people to hang around and give the joint unwanted character, Fred Meyer tossed them out.

Trespassing: 6:57 p.m., 2120 Auburn Way N. Out from Smoke Cheap Price went a misbehaving mister, under an order that he not return.
