Oct. 27

Sucker: 9 a.m., 910 9th St. SE. A City employee called 911 to report spotting an unknown dude slurping up gas from a City vehicle. The employee followed that petroleum sucker until he lost sight of him and the stolen vehicle he’d ridden in on.

Burglary: 1801 R St. SE. Unknowns entered multiple storage units and burgled undisclosed items worth undisclosed amounts.

Theft: Overnight, 3700 block of H Street Northeast. Somebody swiped some spare change from a vehicle that might have been left unlocked, according to its elderly owner.

Traffic collision hit-and-run: 11:35 a.m., 1200 block of B Street Southeast. A man caused a vehicle collision, skedaddled and earned himself an arrest for hit-and-run.

Shoplifting: 2:41 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SW. A female — old, young, who knows — stole items from Walmart, whereat the store took great offense and police cited and released her.

Driving under the influence: 3:35 p.m., 1314 8th St. NE. While driving on 8th Street Northeast, a female driver struck a pole and left then scene. When police caught up with her they decided that drug or alcohol use had rendered her unfit to drive. She later refused a blood draw.

Shoplifting: 12:52 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SW. A suspect shoplifted items from a store and departed, but video surveillance identified him days later and police charged him with thievery and trespassing.

Vandalism: 4:22 p.m., 700 21st St. SE. A resident complained that something had shattered his driver’s side vehicle window while he was driving.

Theft: 4:23 p.m., 4800 block of D Street Northeast. Somebody swiped a sign from a garage sale.

Oct. 28

Auto theft: Overnight, 1450 Lake Tapps Drive SE. A vehicle, left unlocked and with a spare key in the center console, proved too tempting for a thief, who stole it.

CPS referral: 12:43 p.m., 31000 block of 116th Avenue Southeast. A guardian of a 3-year-old boy told police that the child might have consumed an unknown amount of over-the-counter medication. The child was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center as a precaution.

Theft: 12:14 p.m., 600 block of Oravetz Road Southeast. Somebody stole a woman’s purse from an unlocked vehicle.

Theft: 5:39 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SE. The girl had already stolen clothing from the undisclosed department store once before, but she returned to the scene of her previous crime and got busted.

Theft: 5:32 p.m., 1501 Auburn Way N. A man reported an unknown male he had met through Craigslist stole an iPhone he had advertised for sale.

Oct. 29

Burglary: 11:15 p.m., 3737 A St. SE. Suspects unknown broke through a wall on the west side of Tyee Cedar and Lumber and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
