Nov. 16

Purse theft: 8:30 p.m., 709 Auburn Way S. Somebody swiped a woman’s purse while she was dining at Koong Thong Thai Cuisine. Police did not disclose a value for the missing purse or any contents thereof.

Nov. 17

Auto theft: 6:35 a.m., 120 block of 12th Street Southeast. An Auburn resident left his or her unattended vehicle running, and upon his or her return several minutes later discovered an empty space where said car should have been.

Fraud: 11:24 a.m., 1800 block of 27th Street Southeast. An Auburn resident received two checks in the mail for a secret shopper job she found online, which checks the Boeing Employees Credit Union later declared to be fake, frauds, bogus, no good.

Marijuana: 1:56 p.m., 620 37th St. SE. Mt. Baker Middle School authorities discovered one student in possession of pot and suspended him from school.

ID theft: 4:49 p.m., 3400 block of I Street Northeast. A woman called 911 to report that somebody had stolen her identity in 1995 and subsequently used it for fraudulent activities, a fact she had never reported to police or to creditors. Now, having received a collection notice for hundreds of dollars, her anger was stoked and she decided at last to make that long-overdue report.

Nov. 18

Alcohol offense: 12:11 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a 19-year-old woman for trying to sneak into the Muckleshoot Casino using mom’s identification.

Theft: 1:03 a.m., 1704 B St. NW. A man’s car alarm alerted him to a thief smashing his driver’s side window, swiping his lunch box and slipping off with the box into the darkness.

Theft: Overnight, 1300 block of 22nd Street Southeast. A man called to report that a thief, or thieves, had stolen several tools and a Seahawks jacket from his car. Police did not disclose a value for the missing items.

Theft: Overnight, 1300 block of 22nd Street Southeast. Police found a vehicle’s window broken as they were responding to the above theft from a vehicle. Officers contacted the owner, he checked things out and announced that the thief had stolen some books from his vehicle.

Auto theft: 8 a.m., 3800 block of D Place Southeast. Somebody stole a man’s car while it was warming up in the parking lot of his apartment complex.

Trespassing: 3:24 p.m., 1313 Auburn Way N. Having made royal pains in the head of themselves, three adults got the boot from the Auburn North Shopping Center.

Burglary: 3:15 p.m., 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway SE. A man given the permanent git-out-and-stay-out from the Lakeland Hills Top Food & Drug returned to the scene of his misdoing, swiped food items and got himself tidily booked into jail for second-degree burglary.

Theft: 8:10 a.m., 3614 Olympic St. SE. Thieves stole a stereo, tools, a GPS and other items from a truck. Police did not disclose a value for the missing items.

Disorderly conduct: 1:43 a.m., 2802 Auburn Way N. A man and a woman conducted themselves in an unspecified disorderly manner at the Sports Page Tavern, and police arrested them.

Burglary: Overnight, 30620 116th Avenue SE. Persons unknown broke into Rainier Middle School by smashing the glass in a door on the east side of the building. Once inside, the burglars smashed through more glass in doors to get into different areas of the school. Nothing is known to have been stolen.
