The Ravens – who finished 10-6 in the South Puget Sound League North 4A – kicked off their state appearance with a 4-3 win over Walla Walla at Yakima County Stadium.

Michael Rucker went the distance on the mound, striking out 11 and giving up nine hits.

In Auburn Riverside’s second game of the day, the Ravens fell to Richland (20-6). The Bombers jumped on Auburn Riverside for six runs in the fourth inning.

The Ravens finished the season with a 14-11 record. The trip to state is the program’s second.
