Auburn teen to compete in Miss Pre-Teen Seattle Pageant

Megan Haffner of Auburn recently was selected to participate in the Nationals’ Miss Pre-Teen Seattle Pageant on Oct. 11.

Haffner, 10, daughter of Terry and Jeanette Haffner, earned a spot in the field following an application process and interview session. She will compete in the Miss Pre-Teen division, one of four classes comprised of girls between the ages of 7 and 19. The field will compete in modeling routines, which include casual and formal wear. The girls also will have an opportunity to display their personality and interviewing skills.

The winner will represent Seattle and the surrounding communities at the Cities of America National Competition in Orlando, Fla., in December.

Haffner, a fifth-grader at Lakeland Elementary School in Federal Way, enjoys ballet, jazz dance and soccer.

The Miss Pre-Teen Seattle Pageant will begin at 4 p.m. in the Pantages Theater at the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, 901 Broadway, Tacoma.
