Auburn traffic advisories: Night work and other projects

Starting Monday, May 15, through approximately Tuesday, May 16, construction of the West Main Street Multimodal Corridor and ITS Improvements project will require nighttime lane restrictions on the eastbound and westbound traffic on West Main Street from West Valley Highway to the Interurban Trail from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction activities.

The work is dependent on weather.

One travel lane in each direction on West Main Street will be maintained, but delays should be expected. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be open during construction activities.

Elsewhere

• On Monday, May 15, D Street NE from 49th Street NE to South 277th Street will be closed to through traffic for construction activities for the South 277th Street Corridor Capacity and Non-Motorized Trail Improvements project. The work is dependent on weather. Signed detour routes will be posted. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction but delays should be expected.

• Weather dependent, night work will continue through May 19 for installation of new traffic signal vehicle detection equipment at the 22nd Street NE, 30th Street NE, and 37th Street NE intersections along Auburn Way North. Nighttime hours of work are between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additional notices will be made as more night work is scheduled. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained but delays should be expected. Please use caution and pay close attention to police officers, flaggers and construction sign directions.
