The 2010 Local Street Pavement Preservation project is scheduled to begin construction activities on Wednesday (Sept. 29) in the project limits listed:

• D Street Northeast, from alley between East Main Street/1st Street Northeast to alley between 1st/2nd Street Northeast.

• D Street Northeast, from alley between 2nd/3rd Street Northeast to alley between 3rd/4th Street Northeast.

During constructing, it will be necessary to close these sections of D Street Northeast to all traffic. Construction is expected to take two weeks to complete. The work is weather dependent.

Access to all alleys from D Street Northeast will remain open during construction but it will be necessary to detour around the construction areas. The detour routes will be clearly posted.

Additional street closures in this neighborhood are anticipated at later dates. Additional notices will be sent out before each street closure.
