Auburn's Hilda Meryhew has been appointed to the Daughters of the American Revolution as its Washington state historian.

Auburn’s Hilda Meryhew has been appointed to the Daughters of the American Revolution as its Washington state historian.

The position is designed to help DAR members grant permission to mark graves of Revolutionary War patriots with DAR-approved markers and to promote the Outstanding American History Teacher contest.

Meryhew is on the board of directors at New Day Christian Fellowship, serves on the Neely Mansion board as treasurer and historian and is a member of the White River Valley Museum, Mary Olson Farm and South King County Genealogical Society.
