Auto theft and shooting

Auburn police were dispatched on May 5 after receiving a report at 9:44 a.m. of an auto theft and shooting near Game Farm Park in the 3000 block of R Street Southeast. According to the department, the victim and friends of an auto theft found the stolen vehicle in Auburn and attempted to recover the vehicle. The suspects fled and the victim started to chase after the suspects, resulting in the suspects shooting at the victim. No injuries resulted from the incident. The department reported damage to the victim’s vehicle. According to the department’s public information log, police have identified two suspects in the incident.

Aggravated assault

Auburn police were dispatched on May 5 after receiving a report at 3:13 p.m. of a fight in the 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. Officers took a report of the assault on the scene. According to the department, no serious injuries resulted from the fight. According to the department’s public information log, the incident involved multiple suspects and multiple victims. Law enforcement investigation into the incident continues.

Stabbing

Auburn police were dispatched on May 5 after receiving a report at 7:53 p.m. of an assault in the 2900 block of Auburn Way South at an apartment complex. According to the department, a suspect stabbed a victim at the apartment complex. Police have identified the suspect, currently outstanding, and the victim is in stable condition, according to the department.

Shooting

Auburn police received a report at 10:57 p.m. May 6 of a shooting near the 1100 block of Auburn Way North. According to the department, a suspect shot out of a vehicle at victims prior to fleeing the scene. Police collected bullet casings as evidence from the incident. According to the department’s public information log, there were two victims involved in the incident. No injuries resulted from the incident. Law enforcement investigation into the incident continues.

Residential burglary

Auburn police received a report at 12:56 p.m. May 8 of a burglary in the 300 block of 50th Street Southeast. According to the department’s public information log, a residential burglary occurred while the homeowner was home. The suspect damaged the glass of a door and stole $11,000 worth of purses and shoes. In addition to residential burglary charges, police believe the suspect also committed felony vandalism. Auburn police have not identified the suspect in the incident as of yet.
