City receives application for apartments

The William Craig Company has applied with the City of Auburn to build a three-story, 10-unit apartment building at 802 24th St. NE, west of the intersection of 24th and I Streets Northeast.

The William Craig Company has applied with the City of Auburn to build a three-story, 10-unit apartment building at 802 24th St. NE, west of the intersection of 24th and I Streets Northeast.

The company has applied for an administrative use permit, multiple family design review and building permit for site preparation and construction, including utilities and half-street improvements. The project calls for the construction of associated parking on the 13,200-square-foot site.

It also will have to obtain all necessary permits or approvals, including city grading, facility extensions and building permits.

A public comment period is required and people may comment, ask for a copy of the decision, when available, and be made aware of any appeal rights.

The Auburn Department of Planning and Community Development has to receive comments in writing before 5 p.m. on Aug. 25 at 25 W. Main St., Auburn, WA 98001-4998

A public hearing is not required for the project, although the planning director may elect to require a public hearing to be held. Conditions or mitigation measures may be required as part of the subsequent decisions. A copy of the decisions when available can be requested.
