Fido and friends compete for Best In Show

Wally Johnson walks his dog, Mac, the winner of Best In Show at the Auburn International Farmers Market’s Dog Days of Summer event Sunday.

Dog lovers flocked to the market to take in food, music, and crafts and parade their beloved animals. Pet owners competed for prizes while showcasing their canines in front of judges.

The market is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays, through Sept. 24, at the Auburn Sound Transit Plaza, 23 A St. SW.

More than 40 vendors offer a variety of fresh locally grown farm-based foods, hand-crafted items and a concession stand that are restaurant-based but feature a home-cooked taste.
