Drive One 4 UR School raises big money for Mountainview

The recent Drive One 4 UR School fundraiser raised $2,400 for Auburn Mountainview High School.

The event, sponsored by Ford and Scarff Ford of Auburn, more than doubled the amount raised at last year’s event. All told, Scarff Ford has helped raise $3,420 during the calendar year for the school.

The event allowed people to test drive one of many new Ford vehicles. For every individual who participated, Ford and Scarff Ford donated $20 to the school, with the funds going to the Lion Crew program. A total of 120 people completed test drives last Saturday, and 51 people completed the drives last fall.

“We were able to double the event in size this year and hope to continue this partnership in the future,” said Way Scarff, owner of Scarff Ford.

“It it was great to see hundreds of people come out to it.”

Mountainview has entered a Ford nationwide sales competition for a chance to win a first-, second- or third-place prize ($10,000, $5,000 and $2,500), given to the high school that generate the most new Ford Division sales.
