Fire & rescue blotter | Aug. 14

The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 195 calls for service between Aug. 3 and Aug. 9, among which were the following:

Aug. 3

Car accident: 9:20 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and Medic 6 personnel treated a man for multiple injuries he received in a car versus motorcycle accident. Medic 6 transported the man to Harborview Medical Center.

Aug. 4

Aid call: 7:30 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters provided care to a patient for possible broken ribs after he slipped in his bathroom. American Medical Response transported him to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC) for further treatment.

Aug. 5

Aid call: 6:41 p.m., (Lea Hill). Engine 34 and Medic 6 treated a woman for a rapid heart rate that was making her feel dizzy. After administering I.V. therapy and medication to reduce her heart rate, Medic 6 transported the woman to ARMC.

Aug. 6

Residential Fire Alarm: 12:47 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped a homeowner who had burnt some food while cooking, activating her fire alarm. There was no damage and the alarm was reset.

Aug. 7

Aid call: 6:30 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters evaluated a patient with severe abdominal pain then American Medical Response transported the person to Valley Medical Center.

Aug. 8

Aid call: 2:04 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters examined someone injured by domestic violence. Following treatment, the injured person was left in the care of the police.

Aug. 9

Brush fire: 3:54 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters spent more than two hours digging out and extinguishing a brush fire in the woods behind Game Farm Park. Firefighters needed more than 550 feet of hose to reach the conflagration.
