Food bank fighting back during Hunger Action Week

The Auburn Food Bank is taking action.

Make this a week to support the food bank during Hunger Action Week (April 20-24). Make a donation and it also will count toward a percentage matching grant from the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation.

An increasing number of people in King County do not have enough to eat, including families whose children go to bed hungry. But the community can make a difference.

The food bank, located at 930 18th Place NE, is open 9 a.m.-1:15 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and on the second Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m.-1:15 p.m. and 4:40-6:30 p.m.

Community suppers are held on Mondays, 4:30-5:30 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 100 N St. SE., and 5:30-6:15 p.m., at the Northwest Family Church, 3535 Auburn Way S.

Donations can be made to: Auburn Food Bank, P.O. Box 464, Auburn, WA 98071
