March 8

Fuel spill: 5:09 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a vehicle leaking fuel learned that said vehicle had run over a big chunk of debris on the freeway and was dumping gasoline, oil and transmission fluid. Firefighters, aided by the Washington State Patrol, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Ecology and the City of Pacific, used absorbent material to slurp up the spill.

March 9

Aid call: 5:23 p.m., (Lea Hill). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help an ailing older woman. After examining the woman, firefighters determined that she was stable enough to stay at home, so they left her with instructions to contact her private doctor should her condition change.

March 10

Aid call: 11:19 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to 1101 Supermall Way for a possible hand injury stemming from some sort of a fight. Firefighters checked out a teenage boy then left him in the custody of Algona Police Officers.

March 11

Aid call: 3:05 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to the north Auburn area to help an older man who had tripped on an extension cord, fallen to the ground and dislocated his hip. A private ambulance bore the injured man off to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Aid call: 1:04 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a girl who had sustained a minor injury to her right hand after slamming her finger in a door. VRFA firefighters transported the girl to ARMC for treatment.

March 13

Aid call: 1:51 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to 1101 Supermall Way to help a potentially ill girl in the custody of police. Firefighters evaluated the girl and released her into police custody.

March 14

Smoke investigation: 2 p.m., (Auburn). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to investigate smoke pouring out the window of an apartment. Firefighters found french fries burning away in the oven. After removing said fries, firefighters cleared the building of smoke and turned the building over to the owner.
