Kent Mayor Ralph named new president of Sound Cities Association

Served as vice president in 2019

Kent Mayor Dana Ralph is the new president of the Sound Cities Association, which represents 38 King County cities and provides a regional voice for more than one million people.

The Sound Cities Association Board elected Ralph on Wednesday. She served the past year as vice president. Ralph, in her third year as Kent mayor, will replace Pacific Mayor Leanne Guier as president. Renton City Councilmember Ed Prince is the new vice president.

Sound Cities Association, which was formerly known as the Suburban Cities Association, was established 50 years ago to help King County cities of all sizes act locally and partner regionally to create vital and thriving communities through advocacy, education, leadership, mutual support and networking.
