A man in his late 40s was taken to Harborview Medical Center with burn injuries following a bus fire today at a salvage business in the 1400 block of Thornton Avenue Southwest in Pacific.

Valley Regional Fire Authority Firefighters responded to the report of a bus on fire at 2:28 p.m. and found flames and a large column of smoke coming from an approximately 40-foot bus parked on the site.

VRFA crews were assisted by King County Medic One Paramedics with treatment and transport of the burn patient.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
