A man was shot and killed in Auburn on Tuesday, Jan. 11, after he allegedly attempted to rob a man in the 200 block of Auburn Way South, according to the Auburn Police Department.
When officers arrived on the scene just after 9 p.m., they found the victim of the attempted robbery with a gunshot wound to the arm and the suspected perpetrator shot dead, according to the Auburn Police Department.
The victim of the attempted robbery was walking out of a local business when the suspected perpetrator approached him and tried to rob him at gunpoint, according to the Auburn Police Department.
The victim, who also had a gun, exchanged gunfire with the suspect and killed him, according to the Auburn Police Department.
