Nguyen attends global awareness program

Kien-Thiet Nguyen, a student from Auburn Mountainview High School, recently attended the World Affairs Council’s first Global Youth Leadership Institute, which took place on the University of Washington campus.

Kien-Thiet Nguyen, a student from Auburn Mountainview High School, recently attended the World Affairs Council’s first Global Youth Leadership Institute, which took place on the University of Washington campus.

The GYLI is a four-day intensive summer program designed to encourage and assist high school students in learning about current global issues. This year, student participants heard from expert speakers, explored career opportunities and created multimedia projects. Students also developed plans to educate their peers about world affairs over the forthcoming academic year.
