Customers of the Pacific Post Office will have to find a new location to receive and send their mail beginning May 8.

According to a notice posted at the shop at 111 Third Ave. SE, across from City Hall, the shop’s contract with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has not been renewed.

Run by Glenda White and her family since 1991, the office is a contractor with the USPS, providing many of the services an actual post office does, including renting out P.O. boxes.

The notice urges P.O. box customers to find a new place to receive their mail by the end of April.

Among the options listed on the notice are: Stor-More at 1802 A St. SE, Auburn; the Auburn Mail and Copy Center at 1402 Auburn Way N., Suite 2; and the UPS Store. 1402 Lake Tapps Parkway E., Suite F104, Lakeland Hills.

Boxes at the Auburn, Sumner and Milton post offices are also available.
