Pacific will make way for the sights and sounds of the second annual White River Chainsaw Carving Championships this weekend.
Belgium’s Luc Vreys will lead a 12-person field of top regional carvers at the three-day event, which begins today and continues Saturday and Sunday at Pacific City Park, 600 3rd Ave. SE.

Pacific Days runs from 4-9 p.m. today; 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $3 each day. A daily auction will be held to allow the public the chance to acquire a wooden sculpture.
