Dec. 20

Disorderly conduct: 2:30 p.m., 1500 15th St. SW. Police arrested a well known local transient for aggressive begging at a freeway off ramp.

Disorderly conduct II: 3:10 p.m., 1300 15th St. NW. Meanwhile, not long after the aforesaid well known local transient was transported to the slammer for aggressive begging, another well known local transient found himself in hot water for aggressive begging on another freeway off ramp.

Dec. 21

Assault: 12:17 p.m., 700 block of L Street Southeast. Police arrested a man on two counts of domestic violence after he struck another person, gender not given, with a baseball bat, possibly cracking a rib. A few days later the man smacked the same person in the face with a fist, opening up cuts that required stitches.

Shoplifting: 1:23 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man at the north end Top Food & Drugs for shoplifting.

Theft: 4:48 p.m., 300 block of 23rd Street Southeast. A youth reported that his friend’s mother swiped his iPod. He alleged that the woman uses drugs and stole the device to sell it to feed her habit. The youth did not know the woman’s last name, and could not get in contact with his friend. Police could not find the woman.

Traffic offense: 8:05 p.m., 3600 West Valley Highway N. Police caught an unlicensed driver, gender not given, sliding his or her vehicle sideways at a high rate of speed on wet pavement in a parking lot, so they arrested him or her.

Weapons offense: 10:30 p.m., 2800 block of L Street Southeast. Police arrested a man for having a metal knuckle weapon.

Dec. 23

Theft: Midnight, 1300 block of 31st Street Southeast. A woman reported that somebody stole a ring and earrings from her apartment in November. She suspects a relative but has no proof. Police did not disclose a value for the stolen items.

Shoplifting: 2:45 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a boy for stealing baseball shoes from Nordstrom Rack. Police called in the kid’s mother and released the kid.

Shoplifting: 4:05 p.m., 3900 block of A Street Southeast. An out-of-town visitor ended up in the slammer for stealing items from an unnamed local drug store.
