The Auburn police department responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Feb. 15 and Feb. 17:

Feb. 15

Theft from motor vehicle: 9:20 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Somebody stole a GPS unit from a car parked at the SuperMall. Police did not disclose a value for the missing unit.

Feb. 16

Fraud: Midnight, 3800 block of A Street Southeast. Staff at a doctor’s office told police that an unknown person or persons had tried to obtain two different prescriptions under the doc’s name. Both attempts occurred outside of Auburn.

Vandalism: Overnight, 1800 block of G Street Southeast. A woman told police that somebody with a BB gun possibly shot out two windows on a vehicle parked in her driveway.

Forgery: 1:16 p.m., 1341 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man at Bank of America as he tried to cash a stolen check.

Forgery: 5:44 p.m., 2400 block of F Street Southeast. Police arrested a man on an Auburn warrant and found on his person 10 bogus $10 and $20 bills, so they charged him with forgery, too.

Theft from building: 9 p.m.,

3400 block of I Street Northeast. A woman told police that somebody stole jewelry from her residence between Jan. 25 and Feb. 16 while her brother was housesitting her apartment. She said the brother had numerous friends at the apartment during the time and she was not able to give a specific time frame when the jewelry was taken. Police did not disclose a value for the missing jewelry.

Feb. 17

Prowling: 2:17 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A woman and her son reported that while they were in the Muckleshoot Casino an unknown male keyed his car and stole her bags from inside the vehicle. Police did not disclose a value.
