Police blotter | July 10

Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between July 1 and July 7:

July 1

Fraud: 10 p.m., 700 block 67th Lane Southeast. A woman using her credit card at the Rock Restaurant noticed a bogus $1,322.29 charge from far-off Italy. She cancelled the card.

July 2

Assault on officer: 2:25 a.m., 110 block of 8th Street Southeast. Police arrested a man for assaulting a police officer after he punched the officer multiple times. The guy’s girlfriend obstructed police officers as they were taking him into custody. Police arrested the unhappy couple and booked them into the Auburn jail.

July 5

Theft: 5:30 a.m., 1400 block of Lake Tapps Drive Southeast. Somebody stole a scooter, jewelry and a laptop computer from another person. Police did not disclose a value.

Robbery: 9 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. A man, identity unknown, managed to sneak into a secured area in an undisclosed department store and rob the cash office of an undisclosed amount of money at gunpoint. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Shoplifting: 1:40 a.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a male — kid, man, old dude, police didn’t say — for shoplifting a case of Icehouse beer from Top Foods. Police did not disclose a value.

July 6

Fraud: 9:59 a.m., 11300 block of Southeast 298th Place. A woman told police that somebody had obtained her debit bank card information and bought $1247.17 worth of goods and services at various locations in Tempe, Ariz., between June 29 and July 6.

Mattress theft: Overnight., 1540 Industry Drive SW. Sleep Country USA reported that someone broke out a window of the business and stole one Tempur Pedic Classic mattress. Police did not disclose a value.

Weapons offense: 7:14 p.m., 3700 block of Auburn Way North. A woman reported that a woman she knew pointed a handgun at her while she was driving on Auburn Way North.

Water bottle chucker: 10:35 p.m., 31100 block of 104th Avenue Southeast. A man reported that a passing motorist threw a water bottle at his vehicle.

July 7

Theft: 2:07 p.m., 500 block of F Street Southeast. A woman reported that she had seen a boy with a stolen fanny pack that he had just swiped off a man disabled with cerebral palsy.

Fraud: 2:25 p.m., 10900 block of Southeast 304th Street. A woman reported being defrauded of more than $500 when somebody stole and altered two checks she had mailed between June 24 and July 1.

Suds thief: 3:44 p.m., 1500 block of 21st Street Southeast. Somebody stole an 18-pack of beer from a 7-Eleven and made a clean getaway with the booze in a white mini van.

Theft from motor vehicle: 5:39 p.m., 1000 block of 10th Street Northeast. Somebody swiped a woman’s purse from its hiding place under the front seat of her car while she was inside picking up her son at daycare. Police did not disclose the amount of loss.

Illegal leafy green stuff: 10 p.m., 200 block of 37th Street Southeast. Police arrested a man for traffic infraction when lo, there suddenly appeared on the passenger’s side floorboard a plastic bag fat with more than 100 grams of marijuana, which the guy admitted he meant to sell.
