Police blotter | Sept. 11

Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Sept. 2 and Sept. 8:

Sept. 2

Theft from building: 1:10 p.m., 1425 Supermall Way. Two suspects swiped items from Walmart and fled out an emergency exit door. The suspects entered a Ford Bronco and in their hasty flight from justice hit and ripped the bumper off of a parked vehicle.

Sept. 6

Theft: Midnight, 3300 block of 20th Street Southeast. A man told police that somebody stole his Smith-Wesson pistol sometime during the past nine months. He suspects the gun thief is somebody he knows, somebody who left under unusual circumstances and has not returned.

Sept. 7

Burglary: 10:30 a.m., 2901 Auburn Way S. Burglars hit several laundry and storage rooms in the Sherwood Gardens apartment complex after getting in with a master key inside of a stolen lock-box.

Fugitive from justice: 11:11 a.m., 2200 block of Auburn Way South. Police arrested a man for a confirmed warrant out of Denver.

Forgery: 1:58 p.m., 1216 A St. SE. Two unknown suspects tried to buy coffee at the Cowgirls Espresso with a counterfeit $20 bill. The wrongdoers did not get the coffee they ordered and fled before the scantily-clad baristas could get a look at their identification.

Theft: 10:37 p.m., 400 block of 21st Street Southeast. A woman wanted to press charges against her teenage daughter for stealing $80 cash from her.

Sept. 8

Trespass: 11:04 p.m., 702 Auburn Way S. A misbehaving man was told to get out of the southend McDonald’s and stay out.
