That seemed to be the theme of Auburn Riverside’s 52-27 win last Friday against Thomas Jefferson in a North Puget Sound League 4A contest at Federal Way Memorial Stadium.

The Ravens (2-1 overall, 1-0 league) outscored the Raiders 45-13 during the second and third period as they surpassed the 50-point mark for a second consecutive week.

Much of Auburn Riverside’s offensive success came through the running game as the Ravens finished with 427 yards and seven touchdowns on 68 carries. O’Darious Shaw and Sam Braboy each rushed for three touchdowns for Auburn Riverside. And quarterback Tiano Malietufa (173) and Shaw (156) each rushed for more than 100 yards.

The Ravens, who next play at 7 p.m. Friday against Auburn Mountainview at Auburn Memorial Stadium, outgained Thomas Jefferson 458-212. Mason Delacruz led the Raiders (1-2, 0-1) with 102 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.
