Sailing the Sea of Japan

Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Daniel Langhorne, from Auburn, stands by as a safety officer on the Arleigh Burke-class, guided-missile destroyer USS Milius.

The ship recently prepared to conduct a replenishment-at-sea operation with the USNS John Ericsson, a Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler operated by the Military Sealift Command to support Navy ships. Milius and crew are operating in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON, and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
