Oct. 23

Collision: 9:04 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a two-vehicle car crash treated one person for minor injuries and then transported the person to a local emergency room for further evaluation.

Aid call: 7:57 p.m. (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to a woman who was reported to be unconscious and not breathing found her in a stable yet very ill condition. After assessing the woman’s vital signs, firefighters determined that she required further care in a hospital setting, so a private ambulance motored her to a local hospital.

Oct. 24

Broken water pipe: 6:41 p.m. (Lea Hill). Firefighters were dispatched to a broken water pipe inside an apartment building, where they found that the pipe had been broken in the wall and had to be shut off at the service line, cutting off water to the building until repairs could be made. Firefighters helped with water removal to limit damage to the building.

Vehicle fire: 11:44 p.m. (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire and discovered a collision between a semi-truck and a car. The car was fully involved in fire. Firefighters extinguished the car fire and ensured there weren’t any injuries to the vehicle occupants.

Oct. 25

Welfare check: 4:35 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a report of a man who was lying on the ground and not responding. Firefighters determined the man had overdosed and administered opioid treatment. After he was medically stabilized, a private ambulance transported the man to a local hospital.

Oct. 26

Commercial vehicle fire: 5:20 p.m. (Pacific). Firefighters responded to reports of a semi-truck on fire on the off-ramp from northbound SR 167 to Ellingson Road and found a fully involved semi-truck with exposure to to its attached trailer. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and took steps to mitigate fuel leaking from the fire-damaged fuel tanks. The fire marshal’s office is investigating the fire’s cause.

Oct. 27

Collision: 5:39 p.m. (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to a three-car collision found three cars involved with moderate damage. Personnel treated three at the scene before a private ambulance transported one to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.

Oct. 28

Residential fire: 8:28 p.m. (Bonney Lake). Firefighters responded as mutual aid to East Pierce Fire Rescue’s service area for a residential fire. The fire was extinguished, and no one was hurt.

Oct. 29

Aid call: 4:16 p.m. (Pacific). Firefighters assessed a woman who was complaining of severe abdominal pain and after determining that she needed further care, a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
