Elite athletes will converge Saturday for the 74th Annual Washington Open Olympic Weightlifting Championships in Sumner.

Competition in several weight classes and age divisions will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Thrush Sports Performance Center, 1627 45th St. E, Suite 102.

It is free to the public.

Dave Rief, a Junior U.S. World Team member; Rachel Churchward, national silver medalist; and Chris Heinig, American Open gold medalist, will be among those top lifters performing.
