Kim Allen, a music teacher for Lakeview and Evergreen Elementary schools, was called out of the audience to participate in the Ascension Theatre Company’s musical play “Forever Plaid” at the Old Cannery in Sumner on Saturday night.

Allen was selected to help the acting and barbershop quartet perform “Heart and Soul.”

The off-Broadway musical comedy, set in the 1950s, continues for two more performances this week – 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday at the Old Cannery, 13608 Valley Ave. E, Suite A.

Tickets are $10, $6 for seniors, and can be purchased at the door.
