PREP FOOTBALL: Auburn Mountainview blanked by Enumclaw 33-0, Auburn Riverside falls to Federal Way 42-14

Auburn Riverside fell to 2-3 in the South Puget Sound League 4A North, 2-4 overall, with a 42-14 loss to Federal Way on Friday.

Keyonte Scott got the Raven’s on the board early with a 36-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He finished the game with 75 yards on 12 carries. Connor Bjornstad led Lion runners with 119 yards on 14 carries, with quarterback John Hakala adding 26 yards on 12 carries. Hakala was also 4-of-14 passing with two interceptions and scored Auburn Mountainview’s second touchdown with a three-yard run in the fourth quarter.

The Ravens finished the game with 234 yards rushing and 30 yards passing for a total of 264 yards of offense.

Defensively, the Ravens gave up 374 yards total offense to the Eagles, 312 on the ground and 62 passing.

Federal Way (3-2 league, 4-2 overall) was led by Trenton Pinson who had 245 yards rushing on 19 carries and two touchdown runs. Pinson also had a receiving TD. Nick Tanielu carried the ball 12 times for 88 yards and had two rushing touchdowns. Tanielu was also 2-of-12 passing for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Mitch Youngs led the Ravens defensively with seven solo tackles and an assist. Kell Garrison and Dominique Johnson added interceptions and Brandon Hand recovered two fumbles.

The Ravens will play Kentridge at 7 p.m. next Friday at French Field in Kent.

ALSO: The Auburn Mountainview Lions (2-4, 2-4) fell 33-0 to Enumclaw (4-1, 5-1) at Pete’s Pool in Enumclaw on Friday. The Lions will play Sumner (0-5, 0-6) at 7 p.m. next Friday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.
