Behind an explosive, well-balanced attack and solid pitching, Auburn blasted Juneau, Alaska, 16-1, to complete an unbeaten run in pool play at the Northwest Regional in San Bernardino, Calif., on Wednesday morning.

Auburn, 4-0 in regional play, advances as the top-seeded team in the late-game semifinal Thursday. Auburn will face the No. 4 seed, Billings, Mont., in a 6 p.m. ESPN2-televised game. Auburn defeated Montana, 14-3, earlier in the tournament.

The winner will advance to the championship game scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday and an ESPN audience. The survivor will earn a trip to the coveted Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa., Aug. 20-29.

No Auburn team has ever reached the World Series.

Dillon Roe and Dylan Davis launched home runs and Casy Manning, Hudson Byorick and Robbie Wilson each drove in three runs as Auburn erupted for 15 hits in the runaway game called after four innings because of a mercy rule. Auburn put the game away with an 11-run fourth inning.

Manning, the center fielder, went 3-for-3. Byorick, Wilson and Ikaika Nahaku each doubled. Davis drove in two runs. Leadoff hitter Tyler Tan and Isaiah Hatch also drove in a run apiece.

Nahaku, the starter, earned the win, striking out three and allowing one run in a 1 2/3 innings. Byorick and Davis mopped up. Auburn allowed just two hits.

In regional play, Auburn beat Wyoming, 14-2, and Oregon, 7-0.

Auburn earned a trip to the regionals in Southern California after capturing the state championship with a 3-2 win over Mercer Island in Elma last weekend.
