Traffic alert: Friday concert to affect commute, streets

Fee shuttle service is available for Heart concert-goers.

A concert at White River Amphitheatre on Friday is expected to create traffic delays in the Auburn area.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert – featuring Heart with Joan Jett and Cheap Trick – begins at 6:30 p.m. at the White River Amphitheatre, 40601 Auburn Enumclaw Road SE.

Drivers can expect heavy traffic throughout the area, including Auburn Way South, Highway 18 and State Route 167.

A free shuttle is available for concert-goers for free at the McDonald’s at The Outlet Collection, 1304 Outlet Collection Way. Catch one of the shuttle busses out to the venue and back. The first shuttle departs from McDonald’s at 3:30 p.m., the last shuttle at 6.

Return trips to the mall from the Amphitheatre’s safe drop-off/pick-up zone at Gate 2 will begin at 8 p.m. and continue until approximately midnight.
