VRFA ‘cares enough to wear pink’

Most every member of the Valley Regional Fire Authority can give you a name of someone they know who has been affected by cancer.

So when asked if they wanted to join fire departments throughout the state in support of breast cancer awareness, VRFA administrative staff and firefighters agreed and have donned pink shirts as part of this week’s “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” campaign.

Valley Professional Firefighters Local 1352 purchased the pale pink tees for all VRFA staff members and are selling extra shirts to raise funds for cancer research.

The Washington State Council of Firefighters and the Washington State Association of Fire Chiefs encouraged its members to help raise funds and awareness for all women who are battling cancer.

The VRFA is proud to join other fire departments in supporting this worthy cause.
