March 11

Car vs. pedestrian: 3:20 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to a report of a car that had hit a pedestrian found the pedestrian in the roadway with minor injuries. Firefighters evaluated and transported the person to a local hospital.

March 12

Aid call: 11:43 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters called to Alpac Elementary School where a girl was suffering a possible allergic reaction evaluated her, contacted her dad and left her in the care of the school nurse until he arrived.

Aid call: 6:18 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters helped a woman who had gone into labor and a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

March 14

Transformer fire: 8:40 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a power line on fire found a transformer that had blown when a squirrel touched it. Firefighters confirmed that the power company was notified. No hazards were found.

March 15

Accident: 3:12 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to a one-car roll over along Highway 18 learned that the driver had swerved to avoid a mattress in the roadway. The driver was not hurt.

Aid call: 10:54 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters responding to a woman with flu-like symptoms evaluated her and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Aid call: 3:30 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters treated a teenage boy who had sustained a fractured leg and a private ambulance transported him to Valley Medical Center.
