VRFA fire and rescue blotter | March 23

The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 235 calls for service between March 12 and 18, among them the following:

March 12

Aid call: 12:50 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters treated a senior citizen for a possible leg fracture, and a private ambulance whisked her off to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

March 13

Aid call: 11:25 a.m., (Lakeland). Firefighters came to the aid of a senior citizen who was struggling to catch his breath, and a private ambulance transported him to MAMC.

March 14

Aid call: 9:24 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a man who was having trouble breathing, and medics transported him to MAMC.

March 15

Aid call: 8:25 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters examined a young woman who was complaining of severe abdominal pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

March 16

Water leak: 8:27 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a reported water leak found water leaking from the cracks of a length of sidewalk, an apparent issue with a water main. Firefighters called in Pacific Public Works, whose worker bees soon arrived to fix the problem.

March 17

Damaged hydrant: 4:28 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters finding the cause of a damaged fire hydrant to have been vehicle impact, reported the damage to the City of Auburn’s Water Department.

March 18

Accident: 8:18 p.m., (South Auburn). Having responded with Auburn Police to a two-car accident in the 3700 block of A Street Southeast, firefighters treated a young man and a woman for minor injuries, and a private ambulance transported the woman to MAMC.
