The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 234 calls for service between May 20 and 26, among them the following:

May 20

Vehicle accident: 4:39 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to an accident arrived to find two vehicles with three uninjured occupants. Firefighters provided traffic safety until vehicles were towed from the scene.

May 21

Aid call: 12:56 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to an elderly man who was having chest pain. firefighters evaluated the patient, and King County Medics transported the man to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

May 22

Aid call: 10:17 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to a middle-aged man with chest pain. The patient was evaluated at the scene, and King County Medics transported him to MAMC for further evaluation and treatment.

May 23

Vehicle vs. pedestrians: 7:01 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Responding firefighters arrived to find two patients, both middle-aged women, on the ground in the McDonald’s parking lot. Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated both women. One patient was flown to Harborview Medical Center via Airlift Northwest and the other patient was taken to MAMC by private ambulance.

May 24

Brush fire: 5:08 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a brush fire on the side of eastbound State Route 18, west of Auburn Way. Firefighters arrived to find a 100-by-100-foot brush fire down an embankment on the south side of SR 18. They used hose lines and hand tools to extinguish the fire and overhaul the area.

May 25

Car fire: 3:52 p.m., (Kent). Firefighters responded to a car fire next to a storage shed in Kent. Crews worked with firefighters from Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority to extinguish the fire and protect the structures.

May 26

Aid call: 7:46 p.m. (south Auburn). Crews responded to a middle aged female patient in crisis and requesting assistance. Firefighters evaluated the patient, and she was transported to MAMC by private ambulance.
