March 28

Aid call: 7:19 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters helped a woman complaining of lower back pain, evaluated her for injuries and then a private ambulance motored her off to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC).

March 29

Aid call: 7:31 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters hurried to help a commercial truck driver who had fallen from his parked trailer, treated the guy for his injuries and transported him to ARMC.

March 30

Aid call: 7:15 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters and King County Medics helped a woman having difficulty breathing and chest pains, provided care for her and handed her off to King County Medics for transport to ARMC.

March 31

Aid call: 9:28 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a woman complaining of decreased level of consciousness and whisked her off to ARMC.

April 1

Aid call: 5:25 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters determined that a woman seizing up has late stage non-Hodgkin lymphoma and was suffering from severe muscle cramps. A private ambulance carried her off to Harborview Medical Center.

April 2

Mud slide: 10:34 p.m., (Pacific. Valley Com dispatched firefighters to the 5600 block of the West Valley Highway South, where a mud slide and a large log had covered the highway and dropped power lines next to the slide area. The City of Pacific Public Works Department cleared the muck and reopened the road at about 11:45 p.m. Nobody was hurt.

April 3

Service call: 11:20 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a 70-year-old woman who had fallen in her garden and could not get up. Firefighters checked her out, monitored her vitals and helped her get up, whereupon she returned to her gardening.
