Nov. 22

Aid call: 8:47 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a child fighting to breathe found an infant choking on formula, helped the parents clear the baby’s airway and left him or her at home with the folks.

Nov. 23

Aid call: 3:44 p.m., (Aid call). Firefighters responded to a woman who had sustained injuries during an assault the previous day. Firefighters examined the woman and decided that she could be left at home. The Auburn Police Department is investigating the incident.

Nov. 24

Aid call: 8:37 a.m., (Algona). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to a woman with injuries from a fall. Firefighters treated the woman for an obvious ankle fracture, and a private ambulance transported her to ARMC in stable condition.

Nov. 25

Aid call: 7:21 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a reported CPR on an elderly man helped him with artificial respiration. Firefighters helped King County Medics with treatment and medics transported the man to ARMC.

Nov. 26

Aid call: 9:33 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters responding to a patient with shortness of breath evaluated the patient and determined that a King County Medic Unit should further evaluate and treat him or her. Medics transported the patient to ARMC.

Nov. 27

CPR: 1:08 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped an unconscious and unresponsive woman in a north Auburn home. Having performed a comprehensive patient assessment, firefighters decided that CPR or other resuscitation efforts would be futile and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Nov. 28

Aid call: 8:20 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a man lying unresponsive by the side of the road surmised that the man had been overwhelmed after quaffing a few too many fermented beverages. Firefighters evaluated the drunken man and transported him to ARMC.
