Feb. 28

Aid call: 10:05 a.m., Auburn. Firefighters hustled to a restaurant where a man was suffering from severe abdominal pain, treated him and then a private ambulance whisked him off to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

March 1

Service call: 7:17 p.m., Auburn. A malfunctioning elevator brought firefighters on the trot to the SHAG apartments, where they helped individuals who couldn’t reach their homes, going so far as to carry them up the stairs and escort them to their apartments. An elevator repair technician soon fixed the errant lift.

March 2

Aid call: 7:45 p.m., Auburn. Firefighters helped an elderly woman suffering from low blood sugar by giving her food and orange juice. When she was better, firefighters left her at home with her caregiver.

March 3

Aid call: 1:15 p.m., Auburn. Firefighters and King County medics hurried to the aid of an elderly woman suffering from a sudden onset of difficulty breathing and chest pains. Medics evaluated the woman and transported her to ARMC for further evaluation.

March 4

Aid call: 7:12 a.m., Auburn. Firefighters treated an injured woman and a child whose minivan had smacked into a building in the 1500 block of West Valley Highway South and then transported both of them to ARMC in stable condition.The building sustained minor indignities to its siding but no observable structural damage.

March 5

Unconscious man: 2:41 p.m., Auburn. Firefighters restored to consciousness a man who had downed a potent cocktail of high blood pressure medicine, pain meds, booze and marijuana. Firefighters determined the man was stable, and he stayed at home after refusing further medical attention.

Aid call: 2:45 p.m., Pacific. Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help Pacific police with a female who had sustained injuries in an assault. Firefighters examined the woman, determined that her injuries would not require medical attention and left her at home to care for herself.
