Sept. 13

Aid call: 3:01 a.m., (Pacific). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help a man having a hard time breathing, but they found the man, who had fought a long, tough battle with cancer, in cardiac arrest. At doctor’s orders and at a family member’s request, firefighters did not attempt resuscitation efforts.

Sept. 14

Aid call: 10:29 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding for a fall victim found a woman who had fallen from a standing position and fractured her leg at the ankle. Firefighters splinted the fracture and transported her to Auburn Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

Sept. 15

Auto accident: 2:44 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to the 1200 block of “A” St. SE for a motor vehicle accident involving three cars treated several patients, including a young child. Firefighters and a private ambulance transported everybody to ARMC.

Sept. 16

Vehicle accident: 2:36 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a one-vehicle rollover with a trapped occupant at the 4000 block of Kersey Way Southeast found a 50-ton hauler dump truck on its side with downed power lines draped over its bed. After Puget Sound Energy secured the power and firefighters stabilized the vehicle, firefighters extricated the driver and a private ambulance transported him to ARMC.

Sept. 17

Motor vehicle accident: 7:24 p.m., (Auburn). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to the 1500 block of D Street Northeast for a blocking motor vehicle accident. A woman passenger complained of back and wrist pain, but the other occupants had no injuries. Firefighters treated the woman and transported her to ARMC.

Sept. 18

Aid call: 1:23 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a report of a mental health patient in a trance-like state, checked out the patient at the scene then a family member transported said person to ARMC.

Sept. 19

Aid call: 12:35 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped a man suffering abdominal pain, treated him and transported him to ARMC.
