Y’s Pillowcase Drive supports Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital

Every child who comes to Mary Bridge gets to pick out his or her own pillowcase. That pillowcase often becomes their comfort item – something they can take with them when they have to go for tests or examinations.

The Auburn Valley Y has organized a Pillowcase Drive for Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, now through April 15.

Help put a smile on the face of a child by bringing fun pillowcases to the Y, 1620 perimeter Road SW.

Donors can use their imagination to sew, embroider or decorate pillows or simply buy them from the store.

You can even purchase a cheerful children’s pillowcase already made.

The Happy Hands Club will be collecting pillowcases from through April 15 and will be delivering them to Mary Bridge.

Nine-hundred children per month pick out their own pillowcase and it becomes a comfort item whether they are in chemotherapy, having surgery, exams or tests. The goal this year is 1,000 pillowcases.
