Anthoney “Tony” Pierre
Anthoney “Tony” Pierre was born July 10, 1961 in Seattle, Washington and passed away February 8, 2011 at his home in the presence of family after a brief but arduous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Auburn High School, and subsequently went on to complete an engineering degree at University of Washington. Upon graduation from UW, Tony began a 25 year career with Boeing which culminated in management where his goal was always as a mentor to others. His career reputation mirrored his family and public reputation as always being a kind, guiding force in every endeavor. His guidance to all those in his life was always thoughtful, gentle, sound and kind, earning him the nickname from many young souls as “Big Daddy P”. He was an accomplished woodworker whose unfinished dream project was a wooden sailboat. He was a diverse and avid reader, had an expansive musical appreciation, and enjoyed painting miniatures. Publicly he coached both boys and girls soccer, was an automotive sage for many youngsters, and as his children got older, was dedicated to his daughter’s softball career. He was always willing to devote his time to the constructive pursuits of young adults. Tony is survived by his wife, Natalie Pierre; son, Garrett Pierre; daughter, Rhacacia “Cacia” Pierre; son, Stephen Mickey; mother, Pauline Pierre; sisters, Teresa Vaughn, and Cheryl Guthrie. He was preceded in death by his father, James Pierre. Funeral services will be held, 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Price Helton Funeral Home, 702 Auburn Way N. Auburn Washington. A graveside service will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way. Announcement of the location of a luncheon reception will be made at the memorial services.
