Howard C. Hadley passed away October 19, 2011 at memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Howard was born January 10, 1919 in Java, South Dakota, to Claud and Mae Hadley.Howard served in the Army during WWII. Howard settled in Ellensburg and started his family and building homes, later this led him to starting up his own floor covering business in Auburn, Washington. Howard loved spending time with his family as often as possible, woodworking and traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. His last trip was to Samoa at which time all of his sons gathered for a father/son reunion. Howard was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Yakima. Howard is survived by his wife Rebecca of Yakima, sons; James Hadley, Seattle, George Hadley, Apia, Samoa, Kirk (Wanda) Hadley, Sumner, stepsons, Eric (Kari) Bowton, Spokane, Dan (Kim) Bowton, Kennewick, Brett (Amy) Bowton-Meade, Seattle, twenty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters; Joyce Frederickson, Ellensburg, Irene Miller, Oregon, and Lois Sims, California. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Gerald, Ernest, Wesley, Dale, sisters; Mildred, Hazel and Helen.A memorial will be held Friday, November 4th at 2pm West Side Presbyterian Church – 3601 California Ave SW Seattle, WA.
