Kenneth Kreader Sroufe

Kenneth Kreader Sroufe born in Seattle Washington on June 3, 1943 died June 1, 2009 in Yuma Arizona. Ken was the first son of Oren K. and Evalyn B. Sroufe.He is survived by his mother Evalyn, wife Sherry, two brothers John and Phil. Also surviving Ken is one son Ty Sroufe, his wife Patti and three grandchildren. Ken graduated from High School in Auburn Washington in 1961, attended Boise Junior College on a football scholarship from 1961 until 1963 and took classes at Grays Harbor College from 1963 to 1964. He worked at The Boeing Company in the Quality Control Department for 31 years, retiring in 2001. He then worked as Operations Manager at Mr. Ed’s Bingo Supply Company until 2007 when he re-retired.Ken and Sherry enjoyed traveling in the United States in their RV and playing golf at every opportunity. They were both very active in the Mukilteo Rotary Club where Ken donned his Santa Suit for numerous events every year. As a youth Ken liked to swim, water ski and boat. He was an avid deer hunter with his father and brothers and was frequently found on the banks of Snohomish County rivers fishing for Steel-head.There will be a remembrance gathering on July 18 from 2-6 PM at the Highland Community Center in Bellevue, 14224 Bel-Red Road, Bellevue 98007.For additional information concerning Ken’s remembrance please contact John Sroufe at john.sroufe@hotmail.com.
