Nila Maxine Benson

Nila Maxine Benson was born on May 17, 1921 in Auburn, WA and passed away on June 29, 2010 in Algona, WA. She married Charles Benson on September 1, 1939 in the old Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn. Nila loved birds, squirrels, playing the organ, traveling the country in their RV, being a homemaker and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Nila is survived by her husband of 71 years; Charles, her two daughters: Lynne Haugeberg, Beverly Smith, and son; Larry Benson as well as 3 grandchildren: Michael Spellacy, Bryan Haugeberg, Julie Spellacy and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, David Haugeberg. A committal service will be held, 12:00 PM, Friday, July 2 at Washington Memorial Park in Sea Tac, WA.
