Auburn and Auburn Riverside boys and girls track and field teams compete at South Kitsap Invite

The Auburn and Auburn Riverside girls and boys track and field teams were among 16 teams competing at the South Kitsap Invite this Saturday in Port Orchard.

The Raven girls pulled out a third place finish as a team, tied with Bainbridge at 65 points.

The Trojan girls finished sixth with 61.5 team points.

Individually, Auburn Riverside’s Kelsey Loomans was second in the 3,200 meter race with a 1:50.08 finish. Loomans also finished fifth in the 1,600 with a 5:41.79.

The Ravens also grabbed a one-two finish in the 800 with Chase Lane and Kalee Cipra finishing with a 2:22.20 and 2:22.30 time, respectively

In the field events, Gina Cardenas was third in the discus with a 101-feet 7-inch throw and sixth in the javelin with a 101-01. Cardenas was also fourth in the shot put with a 34-02.00.

Courtney McIsaac was third in the long jump with a 15-08.00.

For the Auburn girls, Sadie Phonpadith finished third in the 100 hurdles with a 16.88 time.

Sonja Thomas snagged a pair of second-place finishes with a 26.71 in the 200 and 15-08.75 in the long jump.

Micheal Paulston finished third in the 3,200 with a 11:50.22 and also grabbed third-place in the 1,600 with a 5:38.61.

In the field events, Arielle Stroup was fourth in the discus with a 100.06 throw.

Erin Williams was third in the triple jump with a 32.09.50.

In the boys competition the Ravens came home with a seventh-place finish with 48 points and the Trojans were ninth with 39 points.

Auburn Riverside was led by freshman Andrey Zadneproviskiy, who finished fourth in the 110 hurdles with a 16.13 and fourth in the 300 hurdles with a 42.10.

Dylan Brown was fourth in the 1,600 with a 4:33.73

Madison Allen grabbed fifth in the 400 with a 53.10.

In the high jump, Madison Hoevet was third with a 6-02.00 jump and Zadneprovskiy was fifth with a 5-06.00.

Auburn thrower Danny Shelton led the Trojans individually with a first-place toss in the shot put with a 51-02.00 throw and was fifth in the discus with a 135-01.

Rob Vernon was fourth in the javelin with a 146.11.

The Auburn boys were third in the 4×100 relay with a 46.02.

The Raven track and field team will compete against Thomas Jefferson and Kentwood in a tri-meet this Thursday at Kentwood.

Auburn will host Kent-Meridian at 3 p.m. Thursday.
