Auburn’s season ended with a 30-7 loss to Meadowdale in a state 3A quad-district playoff game at Edmonds Stadium on Friday.

The Trojans finished the season 6-4.

Auburn was unable to crack the Mavericks’  defense, finding itself shut out of the end zone until the fourth quarter when junior quarterback Justin Iomio ran it in from 12 yards out.

Iomio finished the game with 64 yards on 13 carries. He and Nick Kaatz combined to go 2-for-13 in the air.

Rory Spillum ran for 175 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries for Meadowdale (8-2).

Mavericks quarterback Caleb Tingstad was 5-for-11 for 113 yards and 2 TDs. He also carried the ball four times for 60 yards.

Meadowdale scored a safety on a blocked punt in the end zone in the second quarter.
