The Auburn Mountainview girls got off to a good start at the Washington State 3A Volleyball Championship tournament at the Toyota Center in Kennewick today, defeating Bishop Blanchet 3-2.

The Lions (17-4) battle back from a two game deficit to beat the Braves (14-10) with scores of 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-12 and 17-15.

Junior Caitlin Carr lead the team offensively with 14 kills and two aces and added 16 digs and two blocks defensively. Sophomore setter Sam Odren had 30 assists and two aces and libero Alex Odren had 22 digs. Junior Kelsey Fausko chipped in with 10 kills.

The win moves the Lions on to a quarterfinal match at 7:30 this evening against Eastside Catholic (17-2).
